Snow Clearing Priority Policy
The Town of Moosomin has a priority list for clearing of snow, which is as follows:
- Main Street – Highway #8 (Including Fire Dept.)
- R.C.M.P.
- Ambulance
- Hospital
- Railway Crossings
- Schools
- Main Arteries (Including Park Ave., Cook Road, Broadway Ave., Lake Avenue)
- Residential areas
The Public Works Dept. alternate between starting snow removal on the East and West sides of Town. Example: After a snowstorm the streets will be plowed first on the East side of Town, and then the next snowfall, the streets will be plowed first on the West side of Town.
